Butterfly Dampers

Butterfly dampers use a single rotating blade to control gas flow within the duct. The blade turns to regulate, divert, or fully shut off airflow as required in the process.

Process Isolation

Process Isolation

Controlling gas flow, process isolation dampers separate different air streams in the system. They open and close, directing flow through the proper channels as needed.

Modulating Process Isolation

Modulating isolation dampers provide both control and full shutoff capability. During startup or operation, they adjust gradually to regulate process gas flow. When isolation is required, they close completely to protect downstream equipment.

High Temperature (Fiber)

High Temperature (Fiber)

TEI high temperature dampers feature fiber linings to handle extreme heat while controlling gas flow. Fiber construction resists thermal stress, accommodates expansion, and reduces the risk of gas leakage in high-temperature systems.

High Temperature (Castable)

TEI castable high temperature dampers use dense refractory linings to control gas flow in extreme heat environments. The robust castable construction resists abrasion and thermal stress, allowing safe blade and shaft expansion at high temperatures.

Seal Air Damper

Even the best made dampers do not provide 100% leak proof shut off. For areas where this is critical, or to allow personnel entry into ducts or units while other portions operate, TEI can provide our Seal Air Damper. This proprietary design uses dual blades which close with an air space between them . A small blower (or alternately filtered compressed air) is introduced between the blades to provide a slight positive pressure, so that this air leaks out of both sides of the damper, thus preventing gases from the exhaust (or contaminated air) side from entering into the other side. These dampers are custom built to suit our customer’s particular needs, and can be supplied with monitor and interlocks as needed for the application.
