Venturi Scrubber

Venturi Scrubbers are designed to remove fine and very fine particulates using accelerated gas flow and water injections. Removal performance increases with gas velocity and system energy, with efficiencies reaching up to 99.9% for particles as small as 0.1 micron.

Rectangular Design

Rectangular Design

The rectangular design handles high airflows with a throat sized to ensure complete water coverage and prevent dry spots, using low-pressure deflector distributors to maintain fully wetted walls without nozzles. Units can have fixed or variable throats with a flooded elbow.

Round Design

Gas accelerates through a venturi where atomized liquid captures particles; higher pressure drops boost efficiency. The round “dentist bowl” design ensures full wetting and prevents buildup. Fixed or variable throats handle high-pressure use, with a flooded elbow to reduce wear.

Variable Throat

Variable Throat

Process gas is accelerated through the variable throat, where the cross-sectional area can be adjusted to match changing flow conditions. Scrubbing liquid introduced at this location is dispersed into fine droplets, promoting effective interaction between the gas stream and entrained particulate.

Moisture Separators

The moisture separator removes water from the gas stream after particulates are captured. A tangential inlet spins droplets out of the airflow without vanes, chevrons, or mesh pads. This virtually eliminates the risk of plugging, buildup, or abrasion inside the separator.
